Asian-Inspired Beef Sliders

We are really excited to share this recipe with you all. Mostly because it’s delicious, but also because it was a test recipe that happened to turn out really good on the first try! We were doing one of our “clear the fridge” weeks because we had a ton of food to work through. We found these aloha rolls at Trader Joe’s and happened to also have a couple frozen burgers left. We always keep Bachan’s on hand (please get your hands on this if you don’t already have it – a new staple in our house), and we coincidentally had an Asian salad mix in the fridge. This recipe practically fell into our laps! We love a good beef slider, and the tasty Asian-inspired flavors here make this one a winner.

Like we’ve mentioned in previous posts, we like to keep dinners simple during the work week. This one absolutely fits that bill. We defrosted a couple frozen burger patties (fresh ones would be even better!) and let them marinate in Bachan’s for about a half hour then grilled them on our new, beloved Weber kettle grill. Charcoal really changes the grilling game! Butter the aloha rolls and toast on the grill, then add a little (or a lot) of the Asian salad mix. We can’t wait to make this on a football Sunday this Fall!

Note: King’s Hawaiian rolls would also be amazing in this recipe. We just happened to have the Trader Joe’s version on hand!

  • 1 bag Taylor Farms Asian Salad Mix
  • 3 tbsp Bachan's Japanese BBQ Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Melted Butter

Instructions

  • Defrost hamburger patties and marinate in Japanese BBQ sauce for 30 minutes.
3 Frozen Hamburger Patties, 3 tbsp Bachan's Japanese BBQ Sauce
  • Prepare coals on grill. Cook for 4 minutes a side on direct heat. Note: For a gas grill, heat to medium-high and cook for 4 minutes a side on direct heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix the Asian salad and dressing from the bag. Note: Do not include the almonds or wonton strips in the salad (optional). Set aside.
1 bag Taylor Farms Asian Salad Mix
  • Evenly spread melted butter on the insides of the Aloha rolls.
12 Trader Joe's Aloha Rolls, 2 tbsp Melted Butter
  • Toast Aloha rolls on grill to desired color/crispiness. (We enjoy a light brown toasted color)
  • To serve, place one burger patty in the center of four Aloha rolls. Top with Asian salad mix. Use a knife to slice in between each roll so that you have four individual sliders. Repeat with remaining burgers and rolls.
