Could we really call ourselves Californians if we didn’t post a delicious Mexican food recipe on Cinco de Mayo?! Had to share one of our absolute favorites – this flank steak recipe marinated in our carne asada marinade. We first made this last summer and have been hooked ever since!
We love this recipe because it has all of the flavors you expect when eating carne asada. From lime and orange’s citrus flavors to the spice profile of cumin and chili powder, this is one you need to add to your repertoire.
Marinating overnight is crucial (in our humble opinion) so that the steak can soak in all of those delicious flavors. The high heat sear gives it a delicious crust, and allowing it to rest keeps it nice and juicy. Slice into strips and serve on some grilled tortillas, squeeze some fresh lime juice, and top with cilantro. You’re ready for a delicious meal!
