A classic cocktail. This one is a crowd-pleaser! It originated in early 1900s France, and it’s simple, easy to make, and absolutely delightful! It’s in the same family as the margarita, but a really delightful alternative that goes down easy all day long. My recipe slightly differs from the traditional, as I use a little more Brandy. Tom & Daisy is great (I also use Korbel), but feel free to use as expensive a cognac as you want, and slightly less orange liqueur.
This is one that someone could get really fancy with and use a really nice cognac or armagnac, or use a really premium orange liqueur like Grand Marnier. It also tastes great with brandy and triple-sec; it’s a flavor profile that works really well together. It’s a great beginner cocktail, and lots of bartenders have their own variations. I’d love to hear yours! Cheers!
