Emperor Norton's Mistress

A strawberry bourbon-based cocktail that brings up notes of strawberry shortcake.

Equipment

  • 1 cocktail shaker and strainer
  • 1 fine mesh strainer
  • 1 muddler

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 oz Bourbon whiskey
  • .5 oz Vanilla liqueur
  • .25 oz Triple sec/orange liqueur
  • 3 strawberries

Instructions
 

  • Halve 2 strawberries and muddle in bottom of shaker tin
    3 strawberries
  • Add ice and cocktail ingredients
    1.5 oz Bourbon whiskey, .25 oz Triple sec/orange liqueur, .5 oz Vanilla liqueur
  • Shake and strain into old-fashioned glass with large ice cube
  • Garnish with strawberry slices

Notes

Note: You can also replace the bourbon with brandy!
